French I - IV
Course Requirements
1. 3-ring binder
2. loose leaf paper
3. pen or pencil
4. French/English dictionary (optional for French III or IV)
Class rules:
1. Students will be in class and ready to begin when the tardy bell rings.
2. Students will bring ALL materials to class EVERY day. (Pens, pencils, and paper will not be supplied.)
3. Students will be prepared for class, having completed homework before class starts.
4. Students will show respect and courtesy to the teacher and to each other.
Tips for successfully completeing a Second Language class:
1. Study each day. Even when written homework is not given, a student should review already learned material.
2. Practice as much as possible. Use new words and expressions in class and with classmates outside of class.
3. Look up unfamiliar words in the dictionary and keep a list in your notebook.
4. Always ask questions.
Course requirements:
Students will be expected to read, write, listen and speak in the Second Language. There will be grades given for each of these aspects. You must be present in order to participate in the listening and speaking activities. Good attendance is a requirement. There will be at least two quizzes per week and a unit test every two weeks. A homework and/or class participation grade will be assigned every day.
